Just reading the thread about teachers' summer holidays and wondering if educational psychologists get them too. Might be worth retraining if so! Grin

No, ds had an assessment during the summer a couple of years back.

No, they don't.

The one who deals with my DS doesn’t. She’s going to be writing a big report over the summer. She also seems to work really long hours and has a big caseload, as she responds to emails late at night.

My friend is one and no, they don't. But they do make use of later in the holidays to catch up on endless paperwork and preparing for the next school year.

My friend is also one and no she doesn't get the whole holidays off .

ChoccoBiccy66 · 24/07/2018 19:15

Ah ok! I wondered because if they work for the local authority, then presumably they wouldn't be seeing any children at all during the holidays.

Nope, they catch up on report writing, do research, and get organised for the coming session.

They seem to in our LA (I used to do admin for them). But they did come in for a week at either end of the hols to get reports written up etc.

I would quite like to have done something like this, sounds really interesting.
