What wedding present should I buy my friends?

Posting for traffic Blush

My friends are getting married in a few days, and I’m still stuck on what to buy them as a wedding present(!!)

For context, we’re all in our mid-twenties. They’re both vegan and teetotal, and very outdoorsy and sporty.

I think my total budget for the whole present would be about £40/£50.

I’m either thinking of buying them a hamper of vegan treats or perhaps buying them something that could be engraved with their names and the date of their wedding (I think Not on the High Street do this, as I got a cheeseboard engraved from them as a wedding present for some relatives last year).

Obviously, I couldn’t get my friends a cheeseboard, but a similar utensil might be nice.

Do you have any ideas about what I could buy them as a wedding present please?

I’m happy to either order online or to buy something directly from the shops - I can get into central London, so hopefully there should be a lot of choice there.

Thanks so much for your help, everyone!!

If they are outdoorsy how about an experience voucher? Unless you want something physical they can keep?

The best wedding present we got was a hammock. Do they have a garden?

Chinnyreckoning · 22/07/2018 13:05

A tree

claraschu · 22/07/2018 13:05

If they do have a garden, another great gift was a fire bowl.

Why not money or
Vouchers ? Zero risk that way

And a handmade card ?

How about a photo frame - thinking one of the many aperture ones Next do a white one for about 30 quid.

Anything from NOTHS will take a while to be done, so you might have to forget about that if you've only got a few days.

A lovely potted plant or tree or special rose bush (I know you can get anniversary ones...there must be a wedding rose!) that will continue to grow.

A voucher for a local vegan restaurant?

I bought my friends a lovely tin sign that said 'and they lived happily ever after' and some posh wine. East of India do nice sentimental type keepsakes and are stocked in lots of gift shops.

instead of a cheeseboard, you could get an inscribed breadboard.

Or engraved glasses

Or a couple of tankards (especially if one of their activities is rowing)

Do they go in for the cutesy vintage aesthetic? Maybe a nice picnic hamper and rug set. I

I know it sounds daft but we were given one of the old fashioned wicker picnic baskets with the pltes and cutlery. It's something I would have lusted after but not bought but have been very grateful.

What about a really good waterproof picnic blanket with the carrying handles. They can use it that outdoorsy/sporting events.

KC225 · 22/07/2018 13:20

saucey cross post same thinking

tararabumdeay · 22/07/2018 13:26

How about a chrome compass engraved with the co-ordinates of where they met? There's one on Amazon for £20.

Readyfortheschoolhols · 22/07/2018 13:29

A good set of salt /pepper grinders.

Yumyumpigs · 22/07/2018 13:34

I got some engraved champagne flutes. I love them and think about my friend when we use them

Weedsnseeds1 · 22/07/2018 13:42

If they are outdoorsy, head torches, you can never have too many decent head torches!

FeeEngel · 22/07/2018 13:57

A snazzy compass to navigate their way through married life.

Wooden bookends in the shape of a tree or something?
