AIBU to have found if you don't keep an eye on it, you can sometimes be charged either full price or the secondary reduced price as opposed to the reduced price you only bought it for?

It's happened a few times in co-op. Jokes on them though as when I complain they send a £5 voucher.

jackiethelad FWIW I would never get angry with staff for something like this! My point was more of a cynical one as to whether supermarkets are aware of the issues wrt problems with scanning but cynically aren't in a hurry to sort them.

Tesco offer double the difference if they incorrectly scan something (I used to work there). So if they charge you £2 for something that was reduced to 20p they need to give you £4. I don’t know if that’s at all relaveant but my mum bought gammon reduced to £2 when it was about £15 and they they had to give her double back! Winner.
