To wonder how Matalan are still in business?

I have gone in to a few of them and they're always sort of empty and dreary, with rather grim clothing. I suppose they're OK, but how is it that BHS went under and M&S are in trouble, when Matalan is no nicer?

Ours is really dreary. Depressing cheap clothes

and show proof of your employment to get one.
So if you didn't have a job you couldn't buy anything? bloody hell.

Not a fan and those Denise Van Outen adverts are cringey and never showcase the clothing range very well - if anything they just accentuate the tackiness of some of the clothing. I have seen the odd bit of nice homeware but wouldn't go out of my way to go to a Matalan.

Cheap clothes, cheap uniforms. Live next to one, and we love it.

Couldn't have paid me to shop in BHS or M&S.

I thought matalan was a cash n carry?

I adore their Christmas range.

It's never a shop I go in usually. But having found their Christmas range, I did also get a skirt there which is lovely in fairness, and their pyjamas in winter are so cosy. I like the homeware too.

But yes. I saw one in a shopping centre today and it was unusual, I tend to only see them in outlets.
