Aibu to think they are not a cheap restaurant and therefore could afford to have a decent number of waiting staff.
The service is ok, but the levels of stress of waiting staff seem to be off the scale. They are like blue assed flies poor things, and I always feel awful when I have to get their attention for something.
Aibu to think the nations favourite restaurant could use some of their bottom line profit to make their workers job less awful?

Good Asian food in Cambridge - Yippee Noodle Bar. Much better than Wagamana Cambridge. (Bland and dull IME)
They do have bench style seating though.

I could never make authentic tasting ramen soups at home, so I enjoyed Wagamamas - and any other restaurant that cooks them - for its seafood ramen soup. Housebound now so can’t eat out anymore.

Our wagamama is lovely, the food is great. We manage the issue of the food not coming out at the same time by ordering one course at a time, i.e. we’ll order some bits as a starter, then have a gap, then order main courses. And they’ll give us lots of water, so we don’t have to worry too much about drinks, except that their house wine is v nice. Can’t fault it really.

I don't like the stools at high tables but don't mind the benches at lower tables. Ate outdoors at one this week and it was proper tables and chairs. It is teen DS favourite lunch treat when shopping but I wouldn't consider going there for an evening out with friends.

eightfacesofthemoon because I don’t eat out in London, and it’s not much use knowing there’s a fantastic restaurant in Edinburgh unless there’s also likely to be one relatively close to me. Having said that, any recommendations for independent restaurants in Oxfordshire would also be great Grin.

Our local one is a favourite of dd so we sometimes go there. In the last year the service has got much much worse. It annoys me when they come and ask you whether the food is ok when they are the ones messing up your order in the first place. I think it needs a major rethink and retraining to reset the customer service standards. I did eat in the Gatwick south restaurant not long ago and that seemed to have better service though.
