AIBU to wonder what happened to all apparent upcoming fancy holidays, expensive cars etc that the people who took part in these pyramid schemes tried to fool everyone with?

This thread made me realise I haven’t heard from my MLM FB bot for awhile. Did a search and discovered that a) she must have unfriended me and b) her staggeringly open profile has calmed down a lot in the last few months it seems she is now a ‘nutritionist’ and has ‘moved on’ from the MLM. 😂

I follow someone on SM who does younique - she’s constantly applying bad makeup and saying it’s a well loved brand (like Ester Lauder double wear or mac) it’s so offputting, real brands don’t have to tear apart others to make theirs more appealing.

She’s so patronising too but of course she’s doing soooooooo amazing and is performing at the top whatever %age in the company, DM her to get on her amazing team.

All the ridiculous “my little purple card paid for this” and begging for orders only to rub it in everyone’s face what she’s bought with her wage this month (even tho you know she couldn’t possibly have bought what she says she has on just her wage)

She posts all the life changing positivity quotes (again mostly in a very patronising way, your life is shit and hers is fab living in her desired area all thanks to YLife or whatever she calls it) but she has slipped up a couple of times and had to delete statuses saying she’s under appreciated etc.

Still waiting on her post about her first million or first holiday

I belong to a gym/spa. Loads of day entry guests take pictures and blog about their desirable life. It is all a con. They have paid £65 to come in for 3 hours, that is it.

Does anyone else's mlm bots post pictures of them receiving a payment with "on my god. I've just received another payment for selling an item I love" blah blah blah but they actually block out how much they have been paid

Surely if they wanted to recruit people, they would show how much they got

HeresMe i had a friend like that too. Sad thing is she was actually bulimic which was the reason for the weight loss. All those mlm bots cheering her on didn't have a clue, neither would they care. So long as she sells.

Another on a different scheme gave all the rubbish about having a lovely car and fantastic holidays, living the dream. Behind the scenes the car is leased and she lives in Greater London with her parents because she can't afford to rent. The rent prices are not that high there either.

One of my oldest friends has become an Arbonne hun. I doubt I will see much of her again as she completely overreacted when I said I wouldn't support a MLM. I recently saw pictures of her at a seminar, loads of white mercedes lined up with them all grinning like idiots. She always seemed to make bad choices, but this is by far the worst so far I reckon.

There is a Juice Plus seller on instagram who claims to be a millionaire.

Also I know of a millionaire lady in the US who is a Beach Body Coach. I also know of another lady in the US who makes 5-6k per month from being a Coach.

Hi everyone just found this thread. I have a Arbonne bot on my fb who is just promoting to top level has the Mercedes ect and is currently on a works trip to Jamaica.

I take my hat off to her she plays the mlm game perfectly wanting to “help” people live the dream and how it’s not about the money or the holidays ( despite constant posts showing them off) it’s all about helping people and that was the spin she put on it to sign as many people up as possible so she could qualify for promotion. Although she is clearly making money some things just don’t ring true such as she is still living in her rented house and her spending habits don’t seem much different to anyone else I know with normal jobs. Her devotion to Arbonne is very cultish and she has even made comments such as she only feels fulfilled and truly happy amongst her Arbonne family and that her non Abonne friends basically are second best and that’s the few she has left!

It’s taken me hours but I’ve just finished reading that blog- fascinating and it was like reading a ‘behind the scenes’ of people I’ve seen promoting FL/JP etc.

However I’m now slightly concerned that as a previous Phoenix Trader people might have tarred me with the same brush?! Mortified! I did very well with it and did promote the products on my fb page but never falsified claims or made any promises to anyone- do people look at Phoenix traders in the same way? The only people I met at the roadshows were absolutely lovely and not at all pushy 🙈🙉🙊
