I do talk about it a bit.
But my main concern is to try to warn people about the risks.
There is a reason valium is a controlled drug.
People tend to be overconfident about mixing drugs and alcohol and it can go badly wrong.

Half life of diazepam is 30-50h and it takes usually 5 half lives for the effect of any drug to be negligible. Peak effect is 30mins after oral ingestion.

I would suggest avoiding alcohol for at least 24h afterwards. Chances are you would be fine after 2mg which I completely agree is a low dose, but it's a risk I wouldn't be prepared to take.

@endofthelinefinally I'm sorry too.

I know someone who died mixing alcohol and a prescribed drug, it might have been Valium or another anti depressant. It happened in his sleep.

The only reason I considered it was I thought it might have worn off by evening but then I wasn't sure about half life. It's not worth the risk. I didn't drink last night.

Hopefully it will be fine tonight. It will definitely be past 24 hours and I will be mindful about limiting it.

I actually took the Valium to get a coil removed. I just said smear for ease. Anyway she couldn't find the strings, so it's still up there. Ffs. I find any kind of internal horrifying, hence the Valium and now I have to go through it again. O my dayz!! Anyway this is another story!!
