Pure fluke here rousette no skill at all, couldn’t even get in the right country again Confused will leave it there! Great game though, thanks for the link.

Peoplemaynoticeus · 17/07/2018 20:24

I lost hours after reading a thread on cryptic pregnancy where the women believe they are 3 years pregnant. It was so odd that in the end I thought I may be having one Confused

ScreamingValenta · 17/07/2018 20:31

Abandoned places is one of mine. Google will bring up loads, but here is one to get you started:

Roussette · 17/07/2018 20:39

If you like abandoned places Screaming you will love 28daysLater... it's abandoned places in the UK. It's 'urban discovery', the photography is mindblowing, I found places from my childhood, totally amazing.

The body on Saddleworth Moor: www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/idt-e8c6cbab-da44-4a3c-8f9b-c4fccd53dd24

Found this very intriguing at the time.

ScreamingValenta · 17/07/2018 20:48

Ooh, that looks amazing Rousette, thank you - just clicked randomly on Stratheden Hospital and it's brilliant.

BoundByBriars · 17/07/2018 20:51

I also read this as “Womble” stories.

I’m just a little disappointed.

Roussette · 17/07/2018 20:57

There's a cinema I went to as a child (I'm old, it used to be Saturday morning Cinema Club!) and it is amazing to see a run down cinema from my childhood. There's a search function on there to narrow down the geography if you need to Screaming

ScreamingValenta · 17/07/2018 20:58

I can imagine! My childhood cinema is now a Wetherspoons, alas - boring.

Gretagumbo · 17/07/2018 21:02

Such a sad story. Lost hours reading about the lives of their children after.

amymel and WorryingWombat I live in Liverpool and am aware of the alleged timeslips in Bold Street. Last week I was around 100 metres away from the end of Bold Street and thought I saw some girls who were from the past. Early 1990s clothes. I was genuinely puzzled for around 10 seconds before realising that I'm an old fart and fashion from my heyday is now in fashion again.

TrudeauGirl · 17/07/2018 21:16

I hope you feel better soon Wombat.

There's a scary case that I'm a little obsessed with. The death of Elisa Lam. It's so scary and mysterious.

CoughArghCoughArghCough · 17/07/2018 21:56

If you decide to go for podcasts, ‘Unexplained’ sounds right up your street! Much as you’d guess from the title, it covers unexplained ghostly/poltergeisty/timeslippy weirdness. Hope you feel better soon! Flowers

Tessliketrees · 17/07/2018 22:33

If you want a mystery/ghost/conspriacy podcast The Parapod is the best thing in the world. Note- not the best podcast... the best thing

PongoPingoPango · 17/07/2018 22:46

@Roussette

This thread - stairs in the woods from r/NoSleep goes on for paaaaaaages and kept me well-occupied for a week or so!

ReggieKrayDoYouKnowMyName · 17/07/2018 22:53

I’ve just learnt that in Ethiopia it’s only 2010. That sent me down a wormhole about when everyone (but them!) thinks Christ was born and the country in general.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethiopian_calendar

Changingagain · 18/07/2018 08:43

I had a dream about having a timeslip last night after reading this thread Grin

ushuaiamonamour · 18/07/2018 13:40

Well, I suppose that you've been having such a rough time of it that you're deserving of a very deeply excavated hole. So www.reddit.com/r/hubposts/comments/6qi5mb/collection_of_scaryspookycreepy_askreddit_threads/#res:settings/profileNavigator.

Hope you find something you enjoy there and hope still more that your health takes a dramatic turn for the better.

Roussette · 18/07/2018 19:02

Pongo that's amazing! I'm lucky to get the right country!

I read all about Elise Lam last night and it kept me awake! such a strange upsetting story

SimonBridges · 18/07/2018 22:39

Just got completely distracted by the missing Germans.

Nothing to add but I hope you’re better soon op.

BlankTimes · 18/07/2018 22:41

@Roussette

Geogessr's a fabulous game, thank-you Grin

9amTrain · 18/07/2018 23:02

I read womble stories too 🤪😂

itchyknees · 18/07/2018 23:04

Oh oh oh!!! I followed Death in Ice Valley too!!!

The podcasts from Stuff You Should Know are brilliant too, and gently delivered without too much dumbing down.

Roussette · 19/07/2018 07:00

No problem, Blank, I'm afraid to say I have wasted many an hour on it!
