To think AIBU is being used when OPs absolutely think they are being 100% reasonable ???

Just that

No one really believes that they are unreasonable. We all like to think that we're in the right.

wellBeehivedWoman · 16/07/2018 16:42

Sometimes they are genuine but yes, I think it would more accurately be called 'I am being reasonable, aren't I?' Grin

BlueThesaurusRex · 16/07/2018 16:42

I thought the whole point was that you were convinced you were in the right but were curious to see if others felt the same.

Adult with aspergers here so what’s reasonable to me may be wrong to someone else!

rosesandflowers1 · 16/07/2018 16:47

I think the general point is you feel you're being reasonable, but external real life sources have made you consider that that might not be the case.

You do read some threads where they were seeking validation though, and respond rather negatively to being told they are being unreasonable!

TheIncredibleBookEatingManchot · 16/07/2018 16:50

User, do you think you're 100% reasonable?

user56 · 16/07/2018 17:09

Many AIBU I've read recently have been completely offended anyone dared suggest that they were actually being unreasonable!

AIBU? YABU.

No, I'm not.

I'm always surprised if an OP says fair enough, hadn't thought of that.

ShotsFired · 16/07/2018 17:22

Yo do get people posting things like

"I was punched in the face by the shop cashier and then my prone body was set on fire while all the staff laughed at me. Aibu to complain about the customer service?"

As well as the CFers who can't see past their own attitude.

All part of the spice of life I suppose.
