To think of the days when going out meant ..

I have just had a flashback of when going out meant checking I had car/house keys, make up and hair were looking good and I was out of the front door. Now it seems to take ages, getting toddler DD ready, myself ready (minus make up!), checking got all life essentials with us. Sorting out washing. This memory was triggered by the cat popping in through the cat flap, giving me a cheerful greeting before doing a stinky poo in his litter tray so another thing to clear up before getting out the door this morning. Does anybody else find getting out difficult or am I disorganised?

Nope I struggle too! I pack bags and make food the night before get up at 5 to get puppy walked, me showered, dressed and make up on before toddler wakes. Then all that is left is to get toddler ready. Even then everything still seems to be such a faff

It's hard. I have a baby and a toddler just to add to the troubles. Trying to get the baby to have a little feed so I don't have to find somewhere to sit and feed him while out as the toddler would do a runner. There's a lot more to think about these days.

Sometimes you've got to leave things until you get back.

My DD always finds things to do on her way out and I get that she's still struggling to get a night's sleep, but it's a pain to get her through the front door.

Your first is a learning curve, though.
