how cute my DS is?

DP is currently away and I never like it. There is me and 2 DCs alone for a few days and DS1 (3yo) has really cheered me up.
Yesterday we were playing football in the garden and he set one football aside and said that its for DP when he gets home so he can play. Later he was sitting in the bath with his baby brother and he was teaching him about splashing "listen DS2" "SPLASHING" making DS2 giggle. Then he proceeded to serenade him with ba ba black sheep and twinkle star.

This morning when I woke up with the baby he was not in his room. It was completely quiet everywhere and I came downstairs to him sitting on the sofa with his blankie and looking through one of his books, he looked up smiled and said "morning mummy" I think I melted a little.

Sorry if this is boring but I'm just so amazed at how quickly his growing up and the little things he comes out with.

Does anyone have any stories of their DCs being cute ?

I've just melted into a little puddle! That's absolutely adorable! ❤️

It's not boring, it's cute!

I kind of miss toddlers... I remember one evening I came in to find DD1 and DS cuddled up together fast asleep under a blanket fort in the living room. I still have pictures, it was so sweet.

Awww that’s so sweet! My youngest niece is now a toddler rather than a baby and I’d forgotten how cute they are at that stage.

So so cute and definitely worth the parenting 'win' rather than the 'fail' we tend to always focus on!
I'm so proud of my DC he's almost 3 and is just turning into the kindest most thoughtful little person that melts my heart! He still has the odd toddler tantrum though!

Aww thank you for the replies I honestly thought I wouldn't get any .

They're lovely at these ages aren't they. He always gives the baby kisses before bedtime and tells him good night and it can turn any day around

Mega cute OP 😀
Mine are 6 and 3, I never tire of seeing older one put his arm round littlest, or reading him a story.
Littlest is also super empathetic and often puts one hand on my arm and says “I will look after you mummy.”
Just hope I can keep them so sweet and loving so they’re kind men as well as little boys 😍

that sounds absolutely adorable!

It was. They were all cuddled up with their teddies and everything. It's so cute when they're sweet to their siblings - like your example of him kissing his baby brother goodnight melted me a little inside!

JaneJeffer · 16/07/2018 14:54

Why do they have to grow up?Sad

BexleyRae · 16/07/2018 15:01

DD is 21months, she's never been a cuddly baby, but when I put her to bed, she puts her arms out for a cuddle and sort of strokes my hair, its the best thing ever

mumpatrol · 16/07/2018 21:18

@BexleyRae cuddles are the best aren't they Smile

DS has a form for random kisses, especially when you do something with him that he likes such as reading a book, he will just randomly turn and give you a peck on the cheek and go back to looking at the pages like it never happened. It doesn't happen as much now

Oh yes cuddles are ace! And if I'm lucky I get a kiss as well!

Nogodsnomasters · 16/07/2018 22:01

Oh there is nothing sweeter than your dc stroking your hair, my ds does it and my heart melts immediately every time.
