AIBU To find mattress trials disgusting?

Some companies advertise ‘free 100 days trial’ of mattresses. If you don’t like it return it and get your money back.

So basically they must be selling used mattresses to people. I don’t believe for one second they sell them at a discount as ‘used’. Maybe some but not all. So I’m paying for a mattress someone has spent 100 nights sweating into.

I write about mattresses as a side job- a little different but anyway. Mattress companies have various ways of dealing with the returned mattresses but as a rule do not sell them on without clearly signposting that they are used. Some refurbish the mattresses and others donate used mattresses to charities. Some are involved in schemes providing used (but in good condition) bedding to children and young people who otherwise would not be able to access a comfy bed.
If you look on the brand website most will tell you how they deal with mattresses returned following a sleep trial :)
