Stinky shoes?

I have some ballet type pumps that I have been wearing over the summer and they are getting pretty smelly. Any tips to get rid of the smell so they are wearable again? I only bought them a couple of months ago so don’t want to throw them out already.

@MagicFajita and @IlikemyTeahot it's not such a silly idea.

OP put them on ebay but make sure you state "well worn" in the title. They will be worth ££££ Wink

@Yecarmannew , yes , I've seen it a few times on auction sites , if people can stomach knowing where their shoe have gone then good luck to 'emSmile

@Yecartmannew sorry , autocorrect got me.

I second (or maybe third?) the bicarbonate of soda in them overnight.
Myself and an old flatmate had several pairs of smelly pumps years ago & tried it. I honest never thought it would work but it did. Cheap too.

Well, if it’s easy money I may well be tempted!!

Iepie eith anti bacterial wipe and once dry put bicarbonate of soda in overnight then tip out.

Well the bicarb didn’t work. It’s probably better but not enough! Will try the teabag tonight!

I have some silver ones that I’m wearing at work. They really smell but are so comfy. Nothing makes them less stinky. I’ve just ordered a selection of ballet pumps from Accessorize that I’ll rotate. It’s a great excuse to buy some more shoes!

Leather insoles. Get 2 pairs and rotate them i.e. one pair in the shoes you're wearing today, and one pair airing. Bonus: shoes more comfy!
