To not wash my possibly pee-soaked sofa

I have a rental flat. I keep it very clean and ask that guests let me know if there have been any damage or breakage during their stay. Guests checked out this morning and new ones not due til tomorrow but i have an early morning appointment so the flat must be perfect and ready first thing. I cleaned the flat and washed linen, etc today. Made the most of the good weather and then spanned off to the beach for the afternoon as I thought it was more or less finished . I'd left the sofa til last. Usually I take all the cushions off, vacuum, plump and reassemble with clean throw. I've just gone in to do it now and discovered their throw is soaked and so are the seat cushions and sofa base. The covers are really hard to get off and I may not have them dry by tomorrow, the base may or may not be dry. There is no smell from the cushions Confused so if I assume it is just water then I can just let them dry from now. Pee would smell wouldn't it? I am afraid it will start reeking once it dries. What do I do?? [Panicked emoji]

This is why I ask people to tell me about damage, etc. So I can rectify it before the next guests. Angry

There was a thread on here a while ago about bodily fluids and nasty niffs on upholstery- apparently loads of baking soda will soak it up (never tried it but I'm told it's the mutts nuts). I would have thought it would smell though, maybe try covering it with baking soda to make sure it's dry and not smelly, then wash it after this rental finishes?

Is it likely that they have tried to clean it and have left it wet?

Do you have one of those cleaners that sucks up water that you could use?

Baking soda will remove any smell. I’ve used it after my dog was sick and remember Mum using it on milky baby sick. It works very well.
Though if the sofa is very wet it might make a nasty paste on it initially, and will need hoovering or possibly wiping off if you put a lot down.

Salt will soak up the wet fast, at least on the top layer. Just get a big container and pour in a mound.

Removable cushions are sitting out in the sun and the base is smothered in b carb and salt! Thanks MN saviours!
