To be annoyed at the Doctors

I am going on holiday next month and my period is now due whilst I am away. I was quite regular, but last month it was late which means I am likely now due to be taking AF with me.

Just rang the Doctors to get an appt to see if there's anything they can give me... 31st July is the first available appt. No nurse appts at all. No phone appts either.

I don't know what to do. I feel mad that they are so booked up they don't even have appts for weeks.

I'd rather that we asked those who could afford it (I'm one of them) to pay more tax so that we could fund the NHS properly. People like Rocinante1 should not be policing others' use of the NHS. Telling people they should go private is just setting up a two tier system by the back door - everyone should be able to access the services they need, when they need them, free at the point of use. Politicians have done a very nice job of setting us against each other to distract us from the insidious cuts and privatisation.
