We have plastic reusable ice cubes. I have been mocked for them, and they are most probably non-u, but they are great for exactly this situation. Even more so for beer, which definitely can't be watered down.

I can only ever drink ice with wine or the temp gets too hot. So I can’t drink it.

I was going to suggest the reusable plastic ice cubes, or, if you think about it in advance, put some wine into an icecube tray and have frozen wine cubes to put into the glass.

I do, I tried frozen grapes but find they just aren't cold enough to chill the wine as much as I like - after much trial & error I've discovered the way to combat the dilution problem is to drink the wine faster and then refill...
