To ask for your help in finding a dress please

I need a dress for a christening & wedding.

I'm 5'1" and an apple shaped 18 or 16 if stretchy material.

I want a knee length dress with a (respectful) v neck and preferably 3/4 sleeves that is not a ridiculous price or colour.

Can anyone help me because I can't find one for love nor money. All the dresses I'm seeing are high neck which is no good for me, it just makes me look boxy, or the skirts are sitting in the crease between arse & leg, or they are all off the shoulder. Who'd have thought it would be so hard ffs!

I suppose my AIBU is why are all fashionable dresses the fucking length of a top ffs.

I wonder if jjs house online could help, if you have a couple of weeks before the event. They've just done my daughters prom dress and we're very pleased with it. She's only 5ft tall so always has trouble getting lengths right. You choose the dress, send your actual measurements and they customise it. Quite a wide price range.

Oops now I’m making a Roman Originals Sale Wishlist! So nice! Just found a lovely maxi dress with an antique knot at the neckline for only £18. Might get it for next year’s holiday 🌴☀️

Eliza, I'm also a short apple and size 18 and I've been contemplating the first Asos dress you show in the photos. I think it is really lovely.
I would be wary of Scarlett and Jo and Junarose since you are shorter as I find them cut for much taller people.

they have it in a 16, but the cut is quite generous, and it looks better on.

I've whittled down 2 more but I think I'm going to go with the nude one with red roses.

This is lovely. Quite a structured fabric so you might get away with 16.

I have the second Scarlett and jo one with the floral bottom and it creates a nice nipped in waist/ flows over the belly
