To withdraw from this job offer?

I was offered a new job last week (Tuesday) and initially said yes, (because tbh I was pissed off with my work due to working 4 weekends in a row when I was promised one every fortnight). The job would be what i was doing (and enjoyed) before my current job.
The job is regular hours/days, and would mean DH could find a PT job while studying. However, it's 9 hours pw less than I'm doing just now, so down about £200/month. We are just comfortable atm but that would kill us.
Plus because I'd be using my own car there would be quite a bit of mileage on the car, plus wear and tear, tyres, brakes etc to worry about.
The shifts I'm doing now are 8-8 but pattern is random and I can't guarantee what days I'll be working. The shifts there would be 7-1 or 4-10, BUT I'd be doing both every 2nd weekend (both days).
If money were no object I would do the offered job, but aibu to say "thanks but I've changed my mind"? And how do I word an email to that extent?

Would DH finding a job not make up the short fall and more though?

Something along the lines of “thank you for offering me this job but I’ve thought a lot about the reduction in hours and therefore salary it involves and I really need a job that offers me an increase in salary.”
I’m sure somebody will come along with better wording.

Up front and say Thank you for the offer of employment, the role is exactly what I hoped it would be but regrettably the reduced hours make it financially impossible for me to accept

Deary- in the long term, probably, however it's the uncertainty of how long it would take for him to get one and get his first pay. £200 is a lot of money when you're only making enough to stay afloat.

If it's 9 hrs less, could you find a second part time job if necessary?

Is there the chance the hours might increase or the might e overtime available?

If it is £50 a week, and he is a student, he could sign up with agencies. He would easily get that a day doing factory work.
