It's the back of my daughter's ear...she pushed the back of her earring in too far and I've just taken it out and found it like this! I've given it a good clean but not sure what to do...she doesn't want them to close up, only got them done a few months ago, but I'm not sure we should put some back in...

My DDs went like that after having her ears pierced the first time. Then they got worse, so I took them out, let them heal over for a few years then had them re-pierced using titanium earrings. She had had gold the first time.
All fine the second time.

I wouldn’t put an earring back in. Just keep really clean (give it a good soap up in the shower and a good blast with a shower head twice a day) and it will heal up quickly.

It does look infected. Mine were like this too. You can buy earrings with long stocks. Keep them extra extra clean and it should clear up.

Miz
You don't want it to heal if it's infected though, that's why we say put the earing back in. If it's infected, then it closes there's no way for the infection to drain.
OP Sorry I didn't see earlier, but you should be fine to put the earing in so long as you're gentle.
