To be freaked out- weird marks carpet

What in God's name are these marks. Started in one room...and now in our bedroom...weird circles..not damp with dark dots in centre of some..what is this!!! We live in a bungalow and have had windows open at night..AIBU to think there has been some nocturnal visitor?!!!

Have you spilt water or some thing wet on it? Looks like a wet patch to me.

Op get down to carpet level and sniff it to see if it smells of anything...was wondering if it's rodent pee, I imagine they have small bladders and pee frequently,
