AIBU to think that 6.15am on a Sunday morning to allow your children to be shouting and screaming outside ?

It just seems a bit early for the level of noise they are making ? They are clearly having fun, but not sure that the people in the houses surrounding them are going to appreciate it ?

its pathetic, inconsiderate and selfish.

YANBU. I actually wouldn’t mind noise from 7.30/8 but I know I’m in the minority here. I did have to remind DH that normal people do not get up at 5.15 on a Sunday when he was clattering around this morning. Hopefully he didn’t wake the neighbours! He just doesn’t realise how loud he is sometimes! We were out of the house by 5.40 so at least it’s definitely quiet now!!

6.30am is possibly a bit early but to be fair, my next door neighbour one side has their dog barking from before that time (must get up early and need to get out), if its unusual for the family it could be a birthday or something.

Live and let live, as a parent I tolerate my youngest being woken up by lots of late BBQs/ football parties etc. so if we are up early in this hot weather we might go out and play 8ish onwards (I wouldn't let them scream though)

It is possible for children to be outside playing and not being noisy. If more parents reinforced this idea by direct teaching, there’d be a lot less complaining.
It makes sense for children to be out early and inside between 11-3 in this weather.

Hadn't thought of the possibility that it was revenge noise for last night, not that we were making noise , in bed by 9.30pm.

It was the fact that it was full on shouting and screaming, I guess it could have been Birthday high spirits , maybe a present in the garden. Although it sounded as though they were playing hide and seek , given the shouted counting !

I've had neighbours kids (and their parents!) out screaming in their garden since 7.30, I don't mind a bit of noise but 7.30 seems early to be so YANBU

My DH likes to get up really early and do jobs at weekend to get them out of the way so he can relax! We bought a terraced house a year ago that needed gutting.
I've had to ban him from anything that will disturb the neighbours until 8am. When we had builders in, I told them the hours they could work was 8-6. I also explained this to the neighbours. So far, no complaints!

No that's to early. I don't let ds ( 7 ) out till 9am at the weekend during the week now that its the school holiday maybe 8.30am but hes told he can't go and call on friends at that time
