To want to shake people that think it's okay to pavement walk their dogs in the middle of the day when it's 90 degrees!!!

It makes my blood boil. People are so stupid! I also feel like telling them to walk barefoot and see how they feel

I don't agree that any dog will be comfortable walking in 90 degrees heat, whatever the breed! None of us have to wear a fur coat or have the inability to sweat. Every dog I have ever seen in the middle of the day has looked stressed, with its tail completely down. Some owners, for various reasons, will have to take their dogs out briefly for toileting but again only for 5 minutes.
All I wish for is that people are sensible in this weather.

I heard yesterday that one of the dogs that was taken to the village event I attended on Saturday is at the vets. The skin on its pads on all 4 of its feet has been very badly burned.

There were many dogs at the event. I would be very surprised if that was the only dog that suffered. I just hope none of them died.

Just got back from taking dog to the vets for his quarterly check up. Every other pet there was there due to heat related illnesses and the vet was very frustrated as most were avoidable.
