My husband works 7 days a week 52 weeks the year self employed we have probably spent 4 Saturdays together in 5.5 years only as we were in honeymoon and he worked some hours gay Saturday and I was seriously ill in hospital one of the other Saturdays
Today he’s working all day but can find time to watch the England Football Match.

Someone on here told me if he wanted to take time off he would they are right although he’s addicted to his work he would if I was important

Makes me sad

Hya

I do everything I make his lunch and dinner everyday - I lay all the bills he pops his share into my bank account but I have to balance the finances and pay everything on time
I do all the housework gardening shopping cooking diy decorating
His daughter used to be here 4 nights a week I brought all her clothes from my money for 4 years that was for here and her mums as her Mum had drug problem then
I also clothe him myself my children

I don’t drive I wish I did I’d be off out all the time and public transport is expensive here.
We live in a village and not much to do.
I spent 4 years washing drying and ironing his daughters school uniform and making her packed lunch and he’d sit by and allow me to !
So I now won’t do that and I don’t buy her clothes anymore but that has menat she doesn’t get as much as her Mum seems to have sorted her demons out but still struggles on the parenting part.

I just would like a relationship I feel like his mother and that’s not why I married him
Yes we all should have our own hobbies etc but I have no money left to do this as I’m putting more into the house whilst he put most his money into building the new house.
Tbh I feel depressed I used to suffer depression 10 years ago and thought hard to feel well but I’m neglected he only spends 1.5-2 hours an evening with me watching rubbish TV falling asleep

Ah yes... the falling asleep watching tv. I get that too. 10 mins into every programme (that he chooses), I glance over to my left and his head his back, mouth wide open, fast to sleep and snoring Angry

I get it must be frustrating and you're damn right to be peeved about the fact that he'll take time off to watch the match but not to spend time with you.
However I can't believe there are people advising you to LTB for working long hours.
My goodness you'd have something to piss and moan about if he was sitting on his butt 8 days a week.

Lalameme · 07/07/2018 21:11

He’s not working long hours he works every day 10-14 hours a day
2 hour lbs to eat
1 hour dig walk
8 hours sleep
So what’s the point in him being in a relationship ?
As he can’t look after himself

Sounds like you are pretty miserable ... you are coming over as whining ....
I wouldn't say working hard is the worst addiction you could be dealing with !!!!
If you are really that unhappy you should leave him . ...

I personally feel some men have their priorities all wrong. I do get to spend time with my bf some evenings if he's not working or if he doesn't sleep in front of the tv but I what I tried explaining was it was a family day for us with our son. The pub and football meant more and that's crap. "Update though, he did stay home after rowing about it but he sulked"

Aliva if you’d taken the time to read my comments you’d see I grew up with a chronic alcoholic father who beat my mother daily
I married and was with an alcholic 16 years
My brother is one too and my best friend so I have lived with addicts so I do know all about it more than most
Whining lmao yes I’m moaning as he’s not being a father to his child or a husband to me - so yes I will be looking at what’s best for me as I’ve wanted my life on addicts and he is 100% one.
You think it’s okay to not spend any time with your 11 year old child and your wife ?
Well as the standards are so low in a relationship I’m sure you won’t care when your neglected
