As if things aren't expensive enough

As if things aren't expensive enough, I open my DDs new container of milk, seems a little short and, lo and behold, they've dropped the amount by 100g and yet the price is still the same!
Seems like a small issue, I know, but it's really got my back up today!

All (first milk) formula must contain the same core ingredients. It's the law. This explains it well:

We pay 18 euros for our formula here in France. I ache to pay UK prices! When I'm over I buy Cow and Gate and I think it's £8? Formula is so closely regulated it's practically all the same ingredients.

Middle class milk?? Wtf?

FinallyARainbow · 06/07/2018 14:50

I thought DS formula was cheaper last week in Asda (C&G) and now I know why, didn't realise the box was smaller at the time. At least it was a bit cheaper I suppose.

People comparing formula going down by 100g to ice lollies shrinking and snacks getting smaller :(

InConstantNeedOfAGin · 06/07/2018 15:39

@FinallyARainbow I wouldn't mind too much if the price was different on the aptamil, but the price is the same for less formula!

@InConstantNeedOfAGin

That's terrible. I'm going to double check next time I'm buying it but I'm sure it went from £9 to £8. DS was in nicu and the nurses said CG and aptamil are identical and made in same factory. Not sure if that's accurate but would maybe let you switch, especially as I've been hearing issues with the new aptamil.

Obvious question, but if Cow and Gate is exactly the same as Aptimil then won't their ingredients have changed too?
