Not a aibu as such but I'd love to hear of your experiences of starting again at 30 odd yo.
This is what I'm facing, I have DCs all under the age of 8. My marriage is over, and I've been told I'm damaged goods and nobody will want a 32 yo old with young dc and nothing going for me.

Hi Effinghell! I started a similar thread quite recently and got some really helpful responses!

I'll see if i can add the link.

Fuck! I'm looking at this situation at 45! It's all relative - I'd love to be doing this at 10+ years younger!

Not my experience, but I've known a couple of people in exactly your position who have moved on and done fantastically second time around. Flowers

You are NOT damaged goods and there are loads of opportunities out there!

Thank you for the link @Lisabel

I'm facing moving back to my parents and the dc moving school. I only have £2.46 in my account but my mum is coming over tomorrow to get me some shopping in.

I feel pathetic, I sat and cried in the local gardens because I saw a couple holding hands and I realised I've not had that in years.

Firstly you aren't damaged goods. There is no 'normal'. (or 'perfect'). Secondly plenty of women with children find someone new. I started over at 37. I stayed with a kind friends Mum for 3months ( mates rates rent) while I temped and saved £ for deposit.
