to complain about builders?

They're working on building a house next door... they've left litter in our garden that they've chucked over, they used the c word very loudly along with other expletives whilst my 6 year old was in the garden, they've let a fence fall over on my car, and in the street, they wolf whistle at me in the mornings when I walk past, they've got all their bits of metal leaning against the side of our newly rendered house, their scaffolding sticks out in to our garden. It's just a nightmare. I'm pregnant and don't feel comfortable going round to complain especially after they wolf whistled at me and DP knows one of the blokes who works there. AIBU to have had enough and feel like crying when I'm trying to work from home? If I should report this, who do I report it to? The council said they can't help.

I would complain to the owner/developer about litter, things on your property/touching your property, and ask them to make sure all is removed and it doesn't happen again. Make them aware that you will be seeking payment for any damage done to any of your property.

The only people you can complain to would be the office of the building company. Personally, I would be having very strong words about their behaviour towards yourself, and pointing out that you have a young child in earshot so would they moderate their language.

@Seeline I have no idea who the developer is and I don't have the confidence to go round and ask them as I'm nervous about having to walk past them every morning. Hopefully my neighbour will know!

Check on the Council website for the planning application. That should say who the applicant was. Might give you a start.

This should be reported to the police! The wolf-whistling alone could count as sexual harassment and I have heard two separate first hand accounts suggesting that police forces (despite what you might expect) take this very seriously.
