I'd rather not, but I can't think of an excuse. Anyway, DH and I are on a family holiday and we are in bunk beds at a friend's b&b. Went to dtd for the first time since having ds2 (who is nearly six months) and he sat up quickly, bashing my head off the top bunk while simultaneously head butting me, rendering my nose broken. How on earth do I explain my two black eyes and squinty nose to my friend in the morning, and to the greater world when I return home???

Ahhhh I feel for you! Definitely bonking injury.

Rozzzzzalmost35 · 05/07/2018 03:24

@nocoolnamesleft this is what I was thinking too.

@PestymcPestFace nope I haven't, I am just assuming it's broken, but I have broken my nose once before (gym injury) and this feels/looks the same.

yeah I agree with nocool, its better to tell the truth than everyone thinking your Dh, attacked you?

Swissgemma · 05/07/2018 09:00

if it helps I have broken my nose two possibly more acceptable ways:

  1. in a holiday rental went to the loo in the night without my glasses tripped over a chair smashed nose on table.
  2. fainted in a shower smashed nose on tile floor.

Did they believe you?

Oh and fingers crossed that you actually get to dtd soon!

Rozzzzzalmost35 · 05/07/2018 17:44

Yes! Thankfully! I managed it without a smirk!

Is it wrong that I kind of feel proud that I won the most believable lie on the thread Blush

Rozzzzzalmost35 · 07/07/2018 15:38

Hahahaha @Ginkypig I think that's something I'd be quite proud of too!
