My DD1 is leaving nursery in two week as my lovely MIL has offered to look after her to save me the nursery fees.

Am stuck on what to get her keyworkers there are 2 in her room both are lovely. She is hard work my DD1 she settled well but shes a cling and a bit of a crier they obviously never told me this but I know my girl.

I don't know what to get them both am thinking maybe a bath bomb set each then a big box of chocs or biccies for staffroom or cakes.

I will still see them regularly as my ds3 gets 30hr funding and she is likely to go back when she is 3.

I just want to thank them for all there hard work.

Is bath bombs a bit strange for a gift at nursery.

I don't know their bathing habits so have no idea! Got my dd's a bottle of prosecco each when she left each room plus flowers for her main key worker. Whatever you get is kind and a gesture of appreciation so am sure they will be v grateful.

It depends on the individuals but when I took DS out of nursery to move, I gave his key person a gift card for Waterstones and markwrs and a

...ugh. Dang fingers.

markers and a zen colouring book. Chocolates for the rest of the staff and a copy of DS's favourite book for the room.

At the nursery where I worked chocolates were probably the most appreciated gift along with a card we could display. Home made cards are definitely the nicest as well if you've got time to make one with your children

We did absolutely nothing.

DS has just made a card for his teacher, he is 6yo. First time he has wanted to do anything.

I think anything more than a personal thank you, child-made card and/or email to someone higher up is better than stuff (be that alcohol, smellies, keyrings, mugs...).

I have in my trolley (threw it on weekly shop)

Big box of
asda extra special chocolate biscuits
asda extra special shortbread biscuits

Then for the two girls in the baby room
Monty Bojangles truffles each
Bottle of fizzy stuff each (Asti)
Little Yankee votive

Just got to get some thankyou cards.

It's boring but unless you know them vouchers will probably be best if you're going for the £10+ range. If you want something less expensive I'd go for wine or chocolate!

PitterPatterOfBigFeet · 15/07/2018 13:47

Also a hand written card where you write what you have above will be appreciated!

Hortonlovesahoo · 15/07/2018 13:49

My girls at my nursery are trying to be healthy so I’d suggest something like a bath bomb set/ non edibles. A gift card is always a good idea too.

We also made a card from my daughter.

Heratnumber7 · 15/07/2018 13:58

I wouldn't like bathbombs. We don't have a bath at home.

I think vouchers that can be spent on anything are best. Nursery workers don't get paid a hell of a lot.
