AIBU to worry about hot feet

Yes I know its hot outside but its beginning to concern me
Every night for the last couple of nights my feet are burning and it's keeping me awake. The rest of my body is fine
I have low blood pressure and a dodgy heart. Does burning feet mean something important? Anyway to help it as cooling the down with ice or a wet cloth does nothing

If you have a dodgy heart and low blood pressure you really need to seek professional advice instead of asking here, someone might tell you it's normal when it's not. Can you get a telephone consultation at your GP or call NHS direct or something?

Mailfuckoff · 03/07/2018 10:51

I didn't want to waste their time. Last time I went to the doctors they made out it was all nothing and they don't care about my blood pressure and bad heart. So I don't want that to happen again

"they don't care about my blood pressure and bad heart"

Well they need to, so don't worry about "pestering" them seriously. Try NHS Direct?

So sorry that you're having a hard time. I also had hot feet and hands during late pregnancy, still no idea what was causing it. Blood tests etc all normal. I was told it was hormonal. I was taking ice packs to bed and struggling to sleep. The hot feet persisted for several months too. It can be horrible and my heart goes out to you! If it's causing you discomfort and worry then you have every right to insist on being seen by a doctor or midwife to rule out anything major. Good luck and Flowers

Bloomin Nora I hope it's nothing serious! I have hot feet ALL the time and so did my mother. Thinking back it probably started in my mid 40s so it could be hormonal.

Familyfeud22 · 03/07/2018 12:31

What's exactly wrong with your heart?

Mailfuckoff · 03/07/2018 13:13

I've got ventricular biogemy and vasovagal syncope. I'm really struggling in this weather. Once I got a diagnoses that was that, told to manage best as I can

I have a weird form of eczema that causes a tight itchy feeling on the bottoms of my feet and palms of my hands when its hot, and a rash of small fluid filled bubbles if the hot weather lasts for longer than about 24 hours.

I would try a soak in some coke water and some hydrocortisone cream before bed, and try not to wrap your feet in your blanket, but if that doesn't help within a day or so, definitely worth a trip to the GP to get checked out.

I have something similar, I regularly have to rinse my feet during the night.
My advice is not to rinse with cold but with lukewarm water, cold keeps you awake and somehow the feeling lasts less long, and to put some cream on the sole of your feet. Makes my nights a bit more bearable!
