Specifically where to stay for two or three days if you like nature, the sea and peace and quiet?

West coast.
Kinsale as sillybilly says is fab but expensive.

I normally say west cork but given your timelines, Wicklow is perfect. Tonnes to do there - glendalough, Avoca, Greystones, Powerscourt, avondale, killruddery, Sugarloaf, lots of lovely beaches.

Don't waste your time on the road. And next time give yourself longer.
