Wibu to not go through insurance or do anything about this?

I was riding home earlier on my motorbike when a car pulled out in front of me.

I hit it, fortunately not very hard or fast so there was virtually no damage to my bike or the car - scratch on their bumper and a bent mudguard for me.

I am not injured (as far as I know) other than being a bit bruised and sore.

Wibu to just leave it at that? Dp thinks maybe I should visit the doctor on Monday to make sure and should ring my insurance company, and they will claim off the car driver as they were 100% at fault. But is is worth it?

The people who hit me were an older couple on holiday in a rental car, they don't live in the U.K. Surely it would just be a pointless ballache which could potentially ruin my no claims and put my premium up next year, for no real reason, since I am uninjured and mostly undamaged?

Or Aibu? Should I just do it anyway? I've never had an accident before so I have no idea!

You should always report a RTC to the police and your insurers really but the majority don't.

If you put a claim in now you'll get asked loads of questions like why didnt you report it at the time of the incident blah blah blah

Rental company will likely deal with the damage, and need the incident reported, so unless the third party actively lies, this incident will be reported.
You can certainly report the incident to your insuranc and declare your intention not to make a claim, or that you are going to claim through the third party.
If you go to the drs and they do say there is something wrong, your insurance may question why you waited several days and only decided to report after your injuries become apparent.
You can report it and then "add" additional details as needed.

Ok, I've had a couple days for the adrenaline and shock to wear off and I think I might be changing my mind..

I've spent the last few days in pain, nothing seems major but I've had quite bad muscle pain which is preventing me from moving and using my arms properly. I'm going to the gp tomorrow to get it checked out.

My bike is ok but has been damaged and needs a few new parts, nothing hugely expensive.

I feel bad making a claim because they were a nice couple on holiday who clearly just made a silly mistake but as a result I will have to pay to replace parts that I wouldn't have needed to, and I am now in pain and uncomfortable, it is going to affect my work in the short term.

But it's nothing life threatening. Should I let it go?

Just claim fgs.
It's what insurance is for. The old couple should have been looking where they were bloody going. They really do not deserve your sympathy. They could of killed you!

Yeah, there is that. Might make them look a bit harder for bikes next time.
