posting car registrations on facebook

Need some advice for a friend. Will try not to be too identifying so will change a few small details.

My friend and her colleagues park in a staff car park. It's a small staff car park and there are lots of streets around it (no yellow lines so you can park in the street).

This customer has kicked off because customers are not allowed to park there. She says she has a blue badge.

There are no designated disabled bays in this car park however my friend says providing space for a disabled customer would not be a problem if requested.

This customer has been a customer for 5 years, yet has only now complained about the parking availability. The customer is able to walk. I know disabilities can be invisible but we don't understand...why complain now??

Before she even approached the company to discuss her needs / request, she had taken photographs of every car, including registrations and posted lengthy complaints on the company's facebook page, the council's facebook page, the local papers, those 'parking like a knob' pages etc.

So when she next visited the business, she was asked to remove these posts as they were causing distress to staff. She was invited to discuss her concerns privately with the manager. The customer began to kick off basically and was told that her language and behaviour would not be accepted and she was asked to leave (not banned, as she claims, but asked to leave)

Further facebook posts were posted, with lots of inaccuracies, saying she's going to her local politicians, lawyers etc. Some of her friends joined in.

The manager phoned the police, who visited customer, but have told manager she's not doing anything wrong???

Manager is now on sick leave, and remaining staff very stressed and upset.

If you haven't managed to read this far, here is a summary: customer of 5 years suddenly wants a disabled space. has yet to present her blue badge. Started online campaign BEFORE raising concerns with the business. Making threats of legal action etc. Taking photos of car numbers and sharing on various social media pages.

What can my friend and her manager do now?

Wow.

Some people are proper arses.

I think maintain the high ground. The shop has done nothing wrong, you need to provide disabled access (ramp etc if not easily accessible), but I’ve never heard of a small independent shop having to provide disabled parking

I could be wrong and am happy to be corrected.

If it were me I’d put a pinned post on FB outlining the accessibility and nearest disabled spaces for a while.

Also add a sign to the carpark that says staff only.

And bar her from the shop. They don’t need that sort of custom.

It's not a shop, it's a service provider. Sorry I'm trying to be vague as it's in the hands of lawyers etc and I don't want to get into any trouble myself!

I've got disabilities but I'd never behave like this! Some people sadly do get swept up in the hysteria of believing the world owes them everything because of their disability and I've found fb groups to be the antagonist with that.
Legally she's done nothing wrong I don't think hence the police stance. Personally I'd take proper advice from the council who I'm assuming have legal guidelines about this stuff.

From the sound of it, the council have been approached but have been more sympathetic towards the customer. I suspect their support of the customer is politically motivated as the business manager is an open supporter of a particular political party

Can she transferred to another service provider who can meet her needs and have a disabled parking.

Can they still remove her from their services due to her abusing staff. If doctors can remove patients from their lists surely they can as well.
