Just tired of all the moaning of how hot and unbearable it is. I am sure for those suffering the heat get tired of people like me moaning about the cold. I am not actually complaining about you. I am the worst in winter!

I just feel so deflated that anybody who I have spoken to hates this weather.
DP doesn't cope in heat at all, he wears shorts all winter.
DDs get sunstroke really easy or just get grumpy and miserable. I am the enemy at home at the moment as all I want to do is enjoy the heat, all they want to do is moan!

So, just wondering if there are any Mumsnetters who are happy with the heat?

I love it and wish it was like this all the time, or maybe a tad hotter if I'm honest. I really feel the cold. I'm still wearing trousers and shoes today, it needs to be properly hot for me to be warm enough for skirts or shorts or sandals. Some colleagues are acting like we're in the Sahara desert but others are really happy and getting out for a walk at lunch and buying ice cream.
I dislike the cold in winter but just wear lots of layers and use hot water bottles, nothing I can do about it.

DH and I are loving it!

He suffers with Raynauds so he’s happy that for once his hands feel “normal” and I’m happy that mine aren’t cracked and bleeding like they usually are.

I’m also happy that I can wear nice clothes to work instead of hiding them under a huge fleece. Our office is freezing, even when it’s mild outside it is still really cold - atm the office is perfect.

BusySittingDown · 28/06/2018 19:57

I’d be happy with it being freezing in winter if it was guaranteed that we could have weather like this from March to October.

Moneyhelping · 28/06/2018 20:00

I’m loving every second of it

elloelloello · 28/06/2018 20:02

I love it.

I absolutely hate the winter, I really feel the cold, hate the dark nights and drizzle and everything about it

We live in a touristy area and I love that the local town comes alive in the summer, the beach, the buzz from the bars and pubs, and all the events that go on

Winter depresses me

RitaMad · 28/06/2018 20:02

I love the heat. I wish it were like this all the time - a bit hotter even. Grin

IamEarthymama · 28/06/2018 20:09

Hi fellow tribe members!

Life feels so good, no coats and umbrellas to drag around

Sitting outside for breakfast
Sitting outside for lunch
Sitting outside for tea or supper

Enjoying the garden, watching the buzzards fly over teaching their young

Everyone is relaxed and smiling

(Downside is watering the allotment polytunnel but it's a small price that I am just leaving the house to pay)

I am not good in the winter, I think it's the dark so I am drinking in this sunshine, hoping I won't sink into depression or ill health this year

Along with a lovely elderflower G&T!

RebeccaBunchLawyer · 28/06/2018 20:10

Hate it! Am overweight so sweating, dripping everywhere, certainly not glowing. Car like an oven, too hot to exercise properly.

Roll on, autumn. And as for winter: come back soon!

frankie001 · 28/06/2018 20:14

Love it as long as I’m not at work. I have lost a significant amount of weight and find the heat a lot more bearable than I used to!

CoodleMoodle · 28/06/2018 20:16

Love it here too. Been complaining about being cold since October, as soon as the temperature started being double figures I was ecstatic. I moan all winter/spring long because I just hate being cold.

Nearly 38 weeks pregnant and gave myself "permission" to moan this year but I've tried not to, and make sure to cool off of I need to. It's been a lovely day today, we've had the paddling pool out and it's just so good to be outside with DD (the day goes quicker as well!). The only thing I'm struggling with is sleeping, but I'm not sleeping anyway so I'll survive.

Soon it'll be cold again and I'll be miserable - I just hate it!

Thebluedog · 28/06/2018 20:18

I love it!! And I absolutely refuse to moan about it.... it’ll be bloody cold and wet soon enough and we can all moan at how crap the summer was Hmm

WineGummyBear · 28/06/2018 20:18

We love it here!

Spent the weekend having water fights with the DC.

Living out in the garden, (which has some lovely shade).

I love it when getting dressed is nothing more than putting on shorts and a t shirt.

AnyFucker · 28/06/2018 20:23

I love it now sat in the garden with a glass of wine at 8pm

I didn't love the last 4 days working in an absolute oven with no air con and huge windows in the glaring sun from sunrise onwards

Speaking to families and trying to appear professional with sweat dripping off your chin is not a good look !

Day off tomorrow though Smile

beela · 28/06/2018 20:24

Love it!

Life is just so much easier when it's warm. And I love wearing shorts. It's all good.

otterturk · 28/06/2018 20:27

love it OP

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 28/06/2018 20:28

I love it 🤗

I work from home anyway but this has nicely coincided with two weeks off... up at 6, go to the gym, walk to school with no umbrellas / coats / cardigans... back home, sunbathe and read... pop back to the gym to sit by the outdoor pool 😍

Spend the evening sitting outside.

It is totally like being on holiday for free!

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 28/06/2018 20:28

Plus my tan is looking great 😂

melodybirds · 28/06/2018 20:29

Ynbu I love it. It's so rare aswell.

Belindabauer · 28/06/2018 20:30

I love it.
Sat here with the patio doors open.
Love wearing sandals and a dress to work.

evilharpy · 28/06/2018 20:31

Love it. No complaints at all. My daughter is 3.5 and also loves it but (like me) hates the cold. Husband hates it.

The only time I’ve ever struggled with the heat is when we went on hokiday to Spain when I was about 6 months pregnant. It was about 30° and I was suffering from severe exhaustion anyway and couldn’t cope with the heat at all, but hated myself for complaining about it.

bogglepop · 28/06/2018 20:34

Im pale and burn in seconds but after the snow earlier this year I think this weather is fabulous.
What a long, drawn out Winter it was. I love the light evenings.

OhBergine · 28/06/2018 20:35

I am 38 weeks pregnant and LOVING it. Blue skies and sun everyday. Makes entertaining a toddler a hell of a lot easier and my veg patch overfloweth Grin

HotSauceCommittee · 28/06/2018 20:39

I love it. I got the paddling pool out, my DSs are suddenly too old and not interested Sad
They are 10 and 15, but they’ve agreed to a family beach day on Sunday after my last shift at work on Saturday and my days off. This makes me happy, even though I’m a red head and have to sunbathe under a towel.

HotSauceCommittee · 28/06/2018 20:40

Angry That’s a ginger burning in the sun, not an angry face.
