Oooh I like my toast cold and leathery so there is no crunch at all and you have to sort of tear it apart with your teeth. And white, of course! But I do know why - it is because the cold leathery toast we were served at breakfast was just about the best food we had all day! I believe boarding school food is very much better nowadays 😜
