To want to see the contents of your handbag

I decided to face the fear yesterday and empty out my handbag knowing full well it would be stuffed with filth and general miscellany......

Behold, for here is the contents!

No receipts/wrappers/used tissues. I like an organised handbag so I can dip in and out to get what I need instantly. I couldn't function properly if I had to route through months worth of crap to get my lip balm that must be so bloody stressful!

I have never mixed baby/toddler stuff in with mine so DS has a toiletries bag under the pram with 4 nappies, 4 nappy bags, 1 pack of wipes and a tube of bum cream, inside the zip compartment I keep my spare pads, and then there is a smaller little zip up bag which holds plasters, calpol sachets and germaline for emergency scrapes/illness.

Mollie, it's actually fuchsia pink. I have a Kate Spade in the exact same color. I get compliments on both of them every time I carry them. I used to be very seasonal - brown in the fall, black in the winter, brighter colors in the spring/summer, but I've been rotating between these two pink purses for two years now. I have a trench coat the same color.

And you should go for the red! Having a fun color makes me so happy.

Mine used to be full of old wrappers, 'spare' tissues which gradually escaped from the packet, and receipts. Never anything useful like a pen. I just use pockets now and feel so much lighter!

It's currently in the car so no pic but it has in my purse, lip balm and sunscreen. When I go out I'll shove my keys and phone in there.

The car itself however... wet wipes, books, toys, snacks, juice boxes, spare clothes, first aid kit, emergency kit, extra blankets...

Jeez I wouldn't dare bare the contents of my handbag on MN or anywhere else. There's far too much in there (actually DH suspects there's a couple of soldiers in the bottom who don't know the war has ended - CF!)

Make up bag containing powder, bronzer, mascara, eyeshadow, concealer, lipstick lip balm, brow pencil, hair bobbles. Notebook and pens, current book, purse, spare earrings(!), tissues, hairbrush, perfume, reading glasses and sunglasses, lunch and snacks. Keys ( not pictured, as by front door).

I try and whittle it down every day but still I end up carrying around a mountain of shit.

I never empty my bag. I use the same bag every day. Here you go....
I’m disgusted in myself. There are raisins caked to the bottom that have gone mouldy and foul.

None of them are that bad as you have tipped them on to clean, light coloured surfaces. I wouldn't dare do that with mine;

My handbag is a portable skip

Last time I emptied it I found army men, hot wheels, Lego, receipts, random bits of paper, melted Xmas chocolate (which was found in May ) filters, rizzla, make up, hairbrush, purse, bags for life, purse and because my purse is broke about £20 in change rolling around.

Here’s mine. We be removed my scouting necker as it is unusual and possibly identifiable.

I opened the make up bag in the interests of full disclosure!

I've just had a look and found a 3 pack of cereal bars that went out of date September last year too
