I've recently started using the L'oreal Nude Magique CC cream which is green. I've had three people tell me how lovely my skin looks! It looks very natural, bit probably not so good if you're very pale.

BlackAzalea · 27/06/2018 12:36

I tried Couvrance by Avène last time I had a really bad breakout ; it looks quite thick in the tube, but covers really well without looking caked-on, and feels very light. Am still using it even though my skin is clear at the moment Smile.

Dermacol make-up cover. Have a look on YouTube at a few people trying it out, it's amazing and so cheap!

delilahbucket · 27/06/2018 12:39

Clinique red solutions. I use the moisturiser and foundation. It covers red so well that I then have to apply blusher to my already rosy cheeks because they disappear!

thethoughtfox · 27/06/2018 12:47

Milk Make Up Matte Blur Foundation: covers everything and despite the name is glowy and makes you look 10 years younger. Or Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Coverage: use a tiny amount or it can look heavy. It will cover everything and stays put even in tropic climates ( honeymoon tested)

thethoughtfox · 27/06/2018 12:47

Ooh, another vote for Dermacol too but you will need to blot / powder this.

Mollie85 · 27/06/2018 12:52

Hiya Burke - it depends what you want really? Dermacol as mentioned above will remove the red but you may suffer from “cake face” as it was originally marketed as stage make up. It’s very thick (I have it to cover tattoos).

A green base is a good place to start - you can get good color correcting concealers - L’Oréal do one as do Maybelline.

A good idea would be to get a nice full coverage foundation - off the top of my head - urban decay all nighter / too faced Born this Way or even Revlon photo Ready and to use a brush to apply. (A flat top kabuki is the best).
Then if you need further coverage, I would suggest going on the top with an excellent concealer using a sponge / beauty blender (Tarte shape tape is the best in my opinion).

Then set with a spray :) (technic have one for about 2 quid and your make up won’t budge). Grin

This should help you. I suffer with rudiness and that application of concealer at the end really does the trick :)

I love the iT Cosmetics CC cream. They also have a lovely ByeBye Redness range.

Mollie85 · 27/06/2018 12:56

Second that also justilou13

Sleepyandtired21 · 27/06/2018 12:59

Dermocol like everyone else, applied with a beauty blender (you can get knock offs but nothing compares, the closest one is a real techniques sponge). Use a good moisturiser underneath and apply sparingly and little by little and you won’t get cake face. Setting spray will help too - I recommend Mac fix +, you can get small bottles for a tenner that last for absolutely yonks. I have v bad rosacea on my cheek and jaw and this works for me.

diplodocus · 27/06/2018 13:01

I use bare minerals as I find it doesn't inflame it too much.

Burke1585 · 27/06/2018 13:03

Hi all, thank you so much for your help, it really is a pain, the roseca only started about a year ago and I have tried everything from gels prescribed by the doctor to different face creams highly recommend by people suffering with roseca and nothing seems to work. I am currently using Kalme products at the moment don't seem to be working but I'm only using them 2 weeks so maybe I need to give it a little longer. I'm going on holidays in 2 weeks and really don't want to be wearing foundation every day bot I'm just so conscious of my skin at the moment.

Revlon Colorstay is the only one that seems to work for me. I always go back to it.

I've recently started using Niacinamide and Azaelic Acid by The Ordinary and CeraVe Foaming Cleanser. They seem to have taken some of the redness away but nothing has got rid of it completely :(

Louisianna16 · 27/06/2018 14:05

Thirded for IT cosmetics, Bye Bye Redness in particular - its excellent. Small jar but a little goes a very long way. Can be used as a matt primer under ordinary foundation too.

SluttyButty · 27/06/2018 14:07

Estée Lauder doublewear if you've got cash to splash, it did a relatively good job at hiding mine and mine was really severe.
I've bought Aldi's Lacura CC cream at about £2.99 and it's brilliant stuff!

Want2bSupermum · 27/06/2018 14:20

The Kalme products never worked for me. I've had good success with elemis pro collagen cleansing oil and the marine oil and moisturizer. It hasn't completely eliminated it but I had a massive outbreak six months ago and nothing was working. Previously aveno calming range worked great.

For make up I use neutrogena mineral powder. It doesn't irritate my skin at all. It's not the cheapest but it is more affordable at about £10.

justilou1 · 27/06/2018 15:46

Get some soolantra from dr!!!

littlepooch · 27/06/2018 15:50

Another vote for IT cosmetics. Works brilliantly for me

Shumpalumpa · 27/06/2018 16:40

Smashbox redness foundation agreeed with my rosacea prone skin.

Ole Henriksen Nurture Me moisturiser is brilliant but pricey at £40 for 50ml as it has to be imported in.

OnTopOfSpaghetti · 27/06/2018 16:55

Estee Lauder maximum cover camouflage makeup.
Also as a PP said, ask for Soolantra. It has completely sorted my rosacea after years of suffering.

FredSheeran · 27/06/2018 17:04

Soolantra (and massively cutting down on sugar, sorry) is the only thing that's ever worked on my rosacea.

SluttyButty · 27/06/2018 17:12

Oh yes, I should also have said ask for soolantra. Game changer for rosacea.

Burke1585 · 28/06/2018 09:42

Hi all, thank you all so much for your replies!!!!

Sorry to report that the sugar thing is true as well... damn it to hell! I am currently doing very low carb diet and my skin is soooooooo much better.

GreenFingersWouldBeHandy · 29/06/2018 11:58

i have found my people! I am going to try some of these as although my current foundation works fine at the start of the day, it's so hot it sort of slides off my horrid red face by the end of the day.

BTW: I have just started using th ARK skincare Anti-Redesss Serum. It's bloody expensive but if it works it's worth it - only a few weeks in so far (they recommend 4-6 weeks to see results) so a bit too early to tell. Fingers crossed!
