to want doctors to take me seriously?

I've been to the doctor twice and hospital once due to having suspected gallbladder problems. They all agree that it's likely an issue with my gallbladder. It's painful and has become a fair bit worse now I'm pregnant.

AIBU to feel frustrated that they won't investigate it further? Won't do any sorts of tests of an ultrasound? It's so painful and they seem to think 'oh yes it's just your gallbladder' should suffice. Feeling frustrated Sad

Yanbu, there's a serious problem with the NHS not treating people now.

The amount we pay needs to go up to fund it, the only reason that's not happening is politics. We pay a pittance compared to the US.

Without wanting to know more about this, which is a matter between you and your GP, you should really get back to the GP surgery, get a diagnosis and treatment and care plan.

Be clear that you are in pain and that it is affecting your life, just because you are pregnant does not mean that you should be ignored.

@SharpieHorder I was actually told that because I'm pregnant they wouldn't be able to treat me anyway so no point exploring if just yet (would still like to know what it is if it's NOT my gallbladder)

I just feel really fobbed off. Can't even take ibuprofen.

You have to be very persistent to get proper treatment on the NHS IME. Go back to your GP and demand that further investigations are carried out. Tell them how much pain you are in and that you're not convinced it's your gallbladder, because no one has other anything other than a cursory examination. You don't need to be arsey, but you do need to be very firm and, if necessary, say you're not leaving you've been referred for an ultrasound scan. It won't harm your baby, so there's no reason not to do it.
