Going for a week, 2 adults, 3dc (10,8,2). Saved 850. Would this be enough?! Panicking.

It would definitely be enough for us but we don’t tend to eat/drink out much. I’d rather buy great ingredients and wine and make stuff at home than spend a fortune eating out. Even if it does mean a bit more work. Typical Cornish day for us - beach early whilst parking still possible and beach not too crowded. Picnic lunch. Back to cottage, lovely walk, then dinner/drinks at home. We wouldn’t spend anywhere near £850!

@takemetokernow, Portscatho is our place! The Hidden Hut!😍😍😍
Love St Mawes for morning coffee and crabbing, especially if we've walked from St Just. Also love Towan to St Anthony's and around the headland...just the whole area, really - paradise!

We've just been to the hidden hut for lunch. Grin Not very well hidden any more though it has to be said.

St Mawes on Fri, in laws used to live there so it is a sentimental place. Lunch at the Tresanton for a treat.

we spend 700-1000 for 2 adults 2 teens.

It use to be cheaper when they were younger, as we spent more time on beaches and picnics in nice places, and expoloring pretty fishing villages.

shop around for kayaking hire, some centres on the rivers are a lot cheaper then the ones on beach. plus they are usually less rough (for the nervous paddlers) and you can leisurely explore the river, and stop of for a pub meal before paddling back.

Also like to recommend Monaco out door threate, a great experience at whatever age, there is a beautiful cove next to it too.

I'd second the recommendation for Hidden Valley - DS who was 10 the first time we went absolutely loved it, so much so that we have gone two years in a row and are going again this year.
Its not cheap but you can get discounts by googling and pre-printing some of the Cornwall discount code sites.

Some of it is inside so still worth visiting in the rain.
