NC for this.
Has anyone had experience with Sovereign housing?

Currently renting through them, we've been in the property for nearly 6 months and during this time we've had to contact their repairs team on 3 separate occasions to get them to fix the water pressure upstairs.
Basically the water tank gets air trapped inside, resulting in us having next to no cold water supply upstairs. This means using hot water to brush teeth ect, and being unable to flush the toilet more than once every few hours.

Last time the plumber said the issue was caused due to Sovereign cutting corners when the bathtub was ripped out and replaced with an electric shower.

Now, for the fourth time, we've "run out" of cold water upstairs. The same thing has obviously happened again. WIBU to request a permanent fix to this? Last plumber suggested reversing the whole bathroom and putting a bath back in.

I know MN can be a bit funny towards council houses/ associations ect so I'd like to make it clear I don't expect them to revamp it all if there are other options- but the fact that this keeps happening and leaving us with no toilet can't be acceptable?! They haven't offered an alternative solution yet, though the plumber said they'd be more likely to move us to a different house instead of fixing it properly. We've spent so much on this house! No plans to move for at least 4 years!

Upstairs is just an electric shower, taps and toilet. Downstairs is just the kitchen taps.
Upstairs we've been told runs off of the cold water storage, which isn't in the loft as usual but in a cupboard on the landing. This gets air trapped resulting in plumber coming and releasing air and replacing the same washers each time.

Think I'll give them another ring tomorrow and see if they can get here sooner than mid July

I'm with sovereign. They are pretty shoddy but where they have recently merged with spectrum the spectrum side seem pretty good. Can definitely tell the difference between which ones come and do jobs.

I have slugs in a first floor flat than salt isn't getting rid of and they won't do anything to sort it.

The proper solution would be to get all cold taps and the toilet taken from the direct mains. Getting it done would be the main problem.
If you could remember what the plumber does to make it work you could do it yourself. It shouldn't regularly need new washers.
When a plumber has been does it fill at a decent speed or not. How long is it before it 'fails' again?

Mid July? Totally unacceptable Im not surprised though.

Any joy or are you still having to wait till mid July.

We had a similar problem once; I have a bath every night and got into the habit of using the bath water to flush the toilet. Admittedly I wasn't pregnant though.
I stil do this now as our water is now metered and I'm worried about water shortages because if the heatwave.
