I'm just the kind of person that people see as an easy target.

Someone at work keeps using me (and me only) to blame in a "jokey" way that isn't funny to me.

Like spilling coffee everywhere and saying "oh Jean look at what you've done hehe"

"Jean it's all your fault that that happened hahaha", nothing to do with me

Or like today someone complemented on her top as she was "it's jean's I'm borrowing it" being very sarcastic then sniggers in a snide way

Would you see this as unacceptable? Thanks

We’ve got one of these at work. She repeatedly referred to one person as a ‘snitch’, but all in a jokey “aren’t-I-a-comedy-genius” type of way. Her ‘victim’ asked her to stop. She didn’t. So the ‘victim’ brought it up in front of our supervisor and the rest of the team. The perpetrator was asked to apologise but she refused because she was “only joking”.

Tell her to stop, if she doesn’t tell her again. If she still doesn’t go to HR. This clearly bothers you or you wouldn’t have started a thread. You have a right to go about your business without this type of harassment.

You told her to stop, she didn't, raise a formal complaint now. Your manager should have dealt with her already.

I had an annoying woman at my old work. She knew I was vegetarian and really big on animal rights, so she used to wait untill I was on my lunch break and talk loudly about how her husband used to go fox hunting when it was still legal. And how much she loves killing spiders that get into the house. Then look at her own lunch and say "Don't know about you Trudeau but I think animals taste delicious" And laugh

She also used to make very snide comments to a woman who was larger than her by saying. "Oh wow that's a large lunch isn't it?"

She was reported many times.

I've only since last week started speaking up against her. Just ingored her or made eye contact with someone else and rolled my eyes.

I'll try speaking up and repeating her this week thanks

Tell her again in no uncertain terms to stop targeting YOU and respect you just like EVERYBODY ELSE.
Colleague: "Come on Ninmpy, you are being ridiculous"
OP: So now you are calling me names too Hmm you wouldn't dare doing it on somebody else.
Colleague: it's just a joke
OP: you wouldn't dare doing it to somebody else

Oh dear, she doesn't sound very bright if that's all she can manage as a sense of humour
