Wibu to wear these to a job interview?

I have an interview this morning for a reasonably casual job (ie; working in a shop).

It is hot and all my 'go to' interview clothes are black/dark colours and heavy fabrics which I just can't bear wearing in this heat!

My options are:

Light blue wide leg linen trousers, which are lovely and light but slightly creased and very 'casual' looking.

Smart dark blue skinny jeans, which are much more 'professional' looking but will be a lot hotter and heavier as they are fitted and denim.

Wibu to wear either of these?

Fwiw I don't own an iron so I can't iron the linen ones, they aren't badly creased but it's obvious they aren't perfectly smooth either. What should I do!

Hey,

I work in HR and I wouldn't suggest wearing jeans if you have any nice, plain summer dresses or anything like that I'd suggest wearing them. I know when I interview I very much look at how well presented the person is, as it means they do care about the job they are coming into the interview for.

Or, even a smart t-shirt and trousers, you'll only be wearing them to the interview and home, again.

Hope this helps Smile, good look in your interview.

You can still wear a summery dress, just make sure it's office-appropriate and accessorise it with a cardigan and smart shoes/accessories.

I think a dress and cardigan or light jacket would make a much better impression than jeans or creased trousers!

@NaturalBornWoman I usually work in kitchens/catering so it's normally either a provided uniform or something like chef whites. Obviously I wouldn't wear those to a job interview! I don't have jackets or cardigans because I don't really like them and they look silly on me so I don't wear them in my day to day life.

Anyway, I've had the interview now, I wore my go to interview trousers. Fingers crossed I get it Smile

Glad your trousers fitted ok! When do you expect to hear back?
