Very open question...

How much cleaning do you do?

If you have a partner, how much do they do?

Do you share equally or does one do more than the other?

I would say I do 95%, DP does the other 5%. Bit fed up and wondering if anyone else has a cleaning averse partner.

Not a lot. Hate cleaning, and since it's only me can't be bothered. I keep it tidy, ..Hoover around now that the cats are moulting , change the bed, clean the bathroom, do the washing. Immersing myself in gardening since DH died. Although if I know I have people coming will do a massive clean through!

badg3r · 23/06/2018 22:58

We split it 50/50 I would say, we both have jobs we prefer and then the rest we do as needed.

Meh I’ve spent from 2pm-10pm cleaning and tidying and washing and getting ready for dds party tomorrow
Am knackered.
Dh did zero as he’s at work but tomorrow he will be a good help.

He puts washing on and hoovers, also empties bins and does most of the dishwasher shite that I hate.

He will iron if it builds up

He works a LOT more than I do though so I don’t mind. I’d say 80/20 me to him and that’s fine just now.

When I go to work full time we will reassess!

I like TOMM on fb. It’s made housework loads easier and quicker

Only the bed sheets and towels, 90 degree wash, every day. I do it because I love it.

The rest, I just don't care.

Full clean every other weekend... all me. Though he hoovers the carpets and stairs (3 level house 2 of which are carpeted) if I ask for help. Takes about 4 hours in total, including breaks. Weekdays, all the wiping down is down by me after dinner, though he washes the pots if there are any. We share the dishwasher loading. I'd say about 80/20% split. We both work 45hours a week but as I'm closer to home I'm home about 45mins before him

LeighaJ · 24/06/2018 00:17

I'm on mat leave so do almost all of it, but he still does the cooking.

When I'm working it's about 50/50. When I was pregnant he did about 2/3 of it.

TheEmmaDilemma · 24/06/2018 00:23

Both work full time, but he travels a lot and does long days, I WFH. I do 95%.

I do get a bit pissed off sometimes, because he doesn't see the mess and dust in the way I do. But if I moan he will do something.
