I hurt my foot about two weeks ago. I’m still finding it difficult to walk on and the pain is still quite severe.

I’m having to take lots of painkillers and bandage it up.

WIBU to go to my nearest minor injuries unit for an x ray? I don’t want to waste time.

Hi - thanks for asking. I went and they did an x-ray. There is no break thankfully. I was seen very quickly. The thing which took the longest was registering my details, as I’ve never been before so they had no record of me.

I do feel a little bit guilty for going though.

magpie I hope your foot is better.

I had fractured toes and they just sent me home to let them heal. Could walk fine just painful and couldn’t wear flip flops are I couldn’t ‘grip’ with my toes x

Don’t feel guilty, Normski. You had a legitimate concern that needed to be checked out. Obviously, it was a possibility otherwise they would not have done the x-ray. That’s what they are there for.

Ditto @Uncreative, they don't do X-rays unless they're medically justified - if they didn't think there was a possibility it might have been broken, they'd have sent you packing, with some ibuprofen if you were lucky.
