She is 17.

She has lost 1/3 of her body weight in the last 4 months but blood tests which cost £250 are really good, clear and nothing wrong with her kidneys or liver.

She is eating twice what she used to eat and scavenging for food constantly and shitting all over the house even though she has a litter tray - tonight she curled a massive shit down in the middle of the dining room table.

What do I do Sad

Yes of course I would. She's suffering so it's time

And what a ridiculous post from Extravagance. Just laughable. A cat is not a human being. A cat likes to be clean and would never normally just poo anywhere.

This is a cat who is 17 and has dropped a third of its body weight. Cats hide suffering well.

If she is in pain that can't be fixed then yes, otherwise no.

Try putting multiple litter boxes around the areas she tends to stay in.

I had to put my cat of 13 years down because of kidney disease, she was responding to treatment then went downhill rapidly one day she suddenly couldn't even walk. Even though I know I did the right thing, 3 years later I still feel guilty.
