Tips on how to survive the day

Neighbours a few doors down had the effing great marquee up last night. This was followed by hours of dance/rave music which didnt stop until 2am.

Every time they do this I know it basically means a night of no sleep. Towards the end of the party is always filled with kids running up and down the street and shrieking drunk women. Last night finished off with a drunken screaming match outside my house where one of the party goers was parked. Then I heard the car starting and so phoned 101 to say that its a possible drunk driver (yes this might making me a nosey curtain twitcher but one of the people outside screamed at one point "you can't drive in this state Alan!!! (not actual name) Alaaaaan!" as said car then started driving off...

Dd was in with me as my room was slightly quieter.

But it's 6.45 and I've had zero sleep.

Dd currently downstairs with breakfast and programmes but the thought of keeping her entertained for the rest of the day is making me slightly feeling sorry for myself.

Any tips on getting through the day? I'm rubbish without any sleep at all. Sad

I know his wasn't meant to be funny but you gave me a real giggle and I loved it 😊😂

I'm an expat and live where it's so quiet, I miss stuff like this. I totally know what you mean about he big marquee going up... I always used to think "oh god please don't have music going all night"..

Hope you get some good sleep tonight!

Thanks all for these suggestions!

We did get out just now and walked round to my parents for grandpa's day (dds dad has zero involvement so we get a grandpa card)

Good idea to get her tired out. We could've taken the bus but thought the walk would do us good.

My partner is supposed to be round tonight so will cook me a nice meal which I will probably fall face down into. Grin

It might help you if you make lots of loud noise just outside your neighbours house? Perhaps sit in your car and rest your head on the horn 😁

Sending hugs it's absolutely abysmal not having enough sleep and having to look after children c

We've made it to 3.45 and rescheduled with partner. Only 3.5hrs to go!

Friend took dd out to a group for an hour this afternoon. So got 45 mins quiet but couldn't sleep as could see the washing mountain and hoovering etc...

I may be knackered but the house looks semi OK. Dd currently drawing.
