To ask is it frustrating when a thread is removed after many posters invest.

Why are these things removed after loads of people try to help?
There was a long thread very recently about OP's husband and a female work colleague who turned out to be a stunner and husband was staying late for drinks on a Friday night. A sporting event was in the upcoming days.
I am now wondering what the hell happened, I found some time for a catch up on events only for it to be removed under my nose.
Did someone hit someone in the ensuing events?

This happens a lot however this time it was Mumsnet "talking with the OP" ????

Lots of reasons it can be frustrating especially when the deletion message is vague but we have to remember somebodies problems isn't a soap it is their life so are entitled to have threads deleted. This is a thread about a thread so will probably be deleted.

It is indeed their life.
Many people have become concerned about a persons life, at an OP invitation.
I imagine mumsnet to be a great source of advice to many.
I understand there is an interest to see what happened too.

I guess that is the nature of anon forums .threads come and go posters use them to off load and vent they are under no obligation to update us.

I can kind of see why the thread was deleted as people had started to "fight" amongst themselves! I often notice that on threads, where it ends up becoming a bit of a fight between two opposing points of view and the original post's question can get a bit lost. I also think sometimes a poster may regret posting when they get a lot of nasty comments for example. There have been a few where I'm left thinking "i wonder what happened there?" But I think, especially in AIBU, a thread can very quickly descend into something not very nice, and you can't leave that to just run and run.
