It’s a bit of an unusual colour choice for someone conservative.

Yes sorry that is what I meant muted colours would mean she wouldn't be seen I reckon that is why she wears ģinormous hats so people can see her from 5 miles away Grin

That green Screen article is marvellous! Batman is my favourite.

Gottagetmoving · 15/06/2018 15:05

So if her lizard form shows through its camoflaged

Wasn't this for Grenfell?
She's photographed a lot. Bright is good for photos.

nippiesweetie · 15/06/2018 15:08

When she wore lime green and purple for the wedding some people thought (or joked) that it was in support of the People's Vote campaign. The same kind of idea as the "EU hat" she wore for the opening of Parliament.

SabineUndine · 15/06/2018 15:09

I remember seeing her giving out Maundy Money 45 years ago, wearing lime green. If she likes the colour why shouldn’t she wear it? It’s flattering on most people.

xsquared · 15/06/2018 15:09

Because she wants to.

ItsalmostSummer · 15/06/2018 15:12

I like her in her bright colours but I thought the lime green was very very bright. (Maybe her and Megan could coordinate colours next time). But she is the Queen so she can do what she likes. And she’s getting older so let her enjoy her colours. We get one chance in life. Let her wear her colours without the comments.

Aprilshouldhavebeenmyname · 15/06/2018 15:13

Because she has chocolate running through her veins.
She is indeed a real life chocolate lime!!

Emmasmum2013 · 15/06/2018 15:14

She wears all sorts of colours. She could model for a dulux colour chart.

She says she likes to wear bright colours because then the public can spot her easily and say "I saw the queen"

It’s so the bodyguards can spot her easily if there was an incident

RandomWordsandaNumber5 · 15/06/2018 15:20

The Queen says that she ‘has to be seen to be believed’ so wears bright colours in order to achieve this.

MarthaArthur · 15/06/2018 15:23

She wears bright colours so people can see her easily so they can say they have seen the queen. She wore green yesterday for grenfell.

littlemisscomper · 15/06/2018 15:25

What I want to know is why she doesn't wear a crown? I know the proper fancy-pants official one is really heavy and stuff, but can she not get a lightweight version made? I just don't see the point in being queen if you don't get to wear a jeweled crown day in day out!!

foxtiger · 15/06/2018 15:26

She's not always in lime green, but I always think she looks much better in bright, strong colours. She sometimes wears light blue and it makes her look quite pale and tired. My favourite colour on her is a sort of deepish pinky orange - I'm almost sure she wore something like that at her 50th anniversary celebrations, the thing with Brian May on the roof, and she really seemed to glow in it.

Deathraystare · 15/06/2018 15:31

'Orf with your head'! She can wear what she likes! She doesn't always wear lime green but she does always look nice I think.

PomPomtheGreat · 16/06/2018 03:43

And by the time you reach your eighties and nineties, your colour perception has muted. It's entirely possible that what we see as startlingly bright, she sees as strong but not unduly so.
