Is Eurocamp the best holiday for toddlers?

People always come on here around this time of year asking for recommendations for holidays and no one ever recommends eurocamp.

I am right now saw by the side of the pool at a eurocamp site in France whilst my husband is in the pool with our eldest (3) and baby (20mth) is asleep in the pushchair. Holidays with toddlers can be a nightmare but this is surprisingly enjoyable. To be fair this is our second year at this particular camp. It has 3 good size outdoor slides that my toddler will go down on his own as long as someone is at the bottom of course, outdoor splash and indoor splash. Indoor pool etc of course good value as it is June.

As I am at here by the pool I am now thinking of next years holiday. We will be restricted to August due to work commitments. Is euro camp going to be our best bet again? Is it stupidly busy in August? It is perfect for our kids. The slides are all terrific. Is there anywhere better to go with toddlers? Next year we will have a 4 yr old and almost 3 year old. I don't know if I want to spend 2 weeks in a eurocamp -only eve done one week. Where else is good to go with very young children for 2 weeks?

As an aside, this place is awesome for toddlers. Le littoral. Vendee region.

Eurocamp seem to have gone a bit downhill recently and there are lots of bad reviews regarding cleanliness and poor customer service.

We often book through Venue holidays as they work out cheaper than Eurocamp and the accommodation has always been pretty clean. We have also stayed in one of the Canvas wooden lodges which was nice.

pink that's interesting as I found quite the opposite. Last year when we were discussing options on the phone with the rep, I must have gone through half a dozen different camps and dates with them. Hey duly called me back when they said they would the following night. Then after I booked, my husband's work commitments changed and they changed the booking for us without any issue or admin charge. I found the customer service to be excellent and have again this year.

I would happily book through any company to get the best deal but I just want the right site for toddlers that isn't crazy busy in August. Where we are now is perfect for toddlers. We might consider a week here and then a week further down the coast.

I have never used Eurocamp - I am just going by reviews I have read and the experience my friend had with them recently.

I agree that these kind of holidays are relaxing though. We often go to the campsite in Berny Riviere which is just north of Paris. It is amazing for children with loads of activities and a little man-made beach. We have always found it very relaxing and good value for money.
