Using a tea towel for a month makes it dirty. You don’t say.

AIBU to think there’s probably more groundbreaking discoveries the BBC could report on.

Hmm pointless piece of research showing that if you use a tea towel for a whole month it will be filthy. No shit!
Seriously, who does that?
Next month these scientists will be testing the Pope to see if he’s Catholic.
Perhaps we can crowd source some more topics for them to work on.

tbf the research was about e coli and food poisoning, a lot of what it spoke about was letting towels dry and not keeping them humid. Although yes alot of it was obvious

Germs are everywhere - not really news! It’s all just a distraction from what is really going on I think!

Some days I go through several tea towels I would never use one for a month

MegaClutterSlut · 10/06/2018 14:46

My friend caught her dh drying his balls on the tea towel after he got out of the shower. She went mental. Apparently it was fine according to him as they were clean Confused she asked him how long he had being that for and he said years Shock he doesn't do it anymore after she shouted at him Grin

I saw someone commenting on this on FB and they complained that their uncle used to wash his tea towels with his pants. Is that gross?

I wash towels separately from everything else because you're not supposed to use fabric softener with towels. Everything else gets fabric softener. I wash underwear and socks together because they get washed on hot.

BertieBotts · 10/06/2018 14:51

We use our tea towels for everything! I am forever changing them as they would be filthy if I didn't.

Mind you I skim read that article and didn't see the month initially.

I use about 5 tea towels a day!

Misses point of thread totally but I can't imagine using one for more than a day!
