Surely other people get bitten, too?

I went out to eat with a group of four people this evening. We came out of the restaurant and walked by a river. I was chilly and put my cardie back on. The others remained bare-armed. My shoulders were exposed for all of, oh, three minutes. Yet I got bitten on the back of my shoulders. Two bites.

None of the others were bitten, despite flaunting their flesh all the way back to the carpark.

Why me?

AIBU to think that other people get bitten, too, but their bodies don't react to the bites?

Or am I just some delectable treat for every passing mozzie and gnat?

I used to be a buffet for the winged biters, but ever since I had DD their tastes turned towards her instead. I rarely get bitten now.

I was reading about this earlier today. Apparently it's about levels of uric acid. The more you have, the tastier you are. I must have none as they never bother with me. Or maybe I just don't get noticed next to the delicious smörgåsbord that is my DD.

Some people's blood is more enticing to bugs then others, I'm one of those too. It sucks...literally.

I get bitten a lot and have just discovered I react badly to ant bites too!
Interestingly I got a wasp sting and that wasn’t so bad - very painful and swollen straight away, but by the next day it had gone right down and didn’t itch to hell like the mosquito and ant bites.
